Inuit Girl
I have just began an art history summer class (just 3 weeks) and the subject of the first day was on Inuit culture. I've always had a fascination with the Inuit--their religion, housing and culture. Before they touch a seal that they've hunted down they open and pour some water in their mouth as a respectful 'last drink.' They're indebtedness and respect to other animals is so very palpable!
I only wish that modern society would treat the environment with the same reverence. The recent oil spill destroying everything in its path in the Gulf because of our corporate irresponsibility and lack of environmental concern is the latest example of how far we have strayed from our ancestral connections with nature.

The Stars Are Like Setting Suns
I still have so much school work left to do! I just finished writing an economics term paper and now I'm in the process of writing my international business term paper. And then finals testing this monday to wednesday. And then 4 days of freedom and then 3 weeks of an intensive art history class.
I can't wait for my fingers to touch a blank piece of paper and draw. I...cant...wait.
