Watercolor Splatter Step

So I just finished another watercolor piece and I took photos during the whole process:
 To make the twinkling stars I used white acrylic paint and a white colored pencil: 

After mixing a little bit of the white paint and some water, and covering the lady and the foreground, I flicked the paintbrush against one of my fingers so the paint would splatter over the piece: 
After all the violent splattering, I made some of the white dots 'twinkly' with the colored pencil. Here is the finished piece!

That is pretty. And the star thing is just damn creative. I'm gonna have to try that one.
